I believe that middle and high school should start later at around 9 or 10. I say this because it has been scientifically proven that teenagers in general need more sleep and function better later in the day. Not only woudl starting school later help us function because it is later in the day but because we woudl have gotten a better nights rest. There is sometimes a problem teenagers stay up late sometimes and its hard to get up with only 4 or 5 hours of sleep so if they went to sleep at the same time but got to sleep 2 hours later than usual then they would function better. I know that it works getting an extra hour or two of sleep because on Saturdays I can sleep til 8 and on sundays I can sleep until 6. I always go to bed at aroudn 9 or 10 and I always feel more refreshed, awake, alert, and with a better mood on Saturdays.
