The President has urged Americans to remain strong. Help other kids get through this scary time! Share your stories of strength of character and kindness!

Before September 11 the world was peace and quite. Now since September 11 the world, not just the USA but, the World,is different and not so peaceful anymore. Every night I go to bed and think about all the people who tried to save hundreds of other people. All of this happened because of one man, and many people died. That makes me sad. But I'm glad that there are soldiers to go after Bin Laden and make the world a safe place again. I don't think they should go after the whole Afganistan country because some little kids don't know what is going on.They should only punish the people who are responsible for this tragedy --that hurt the whole world. - Hollye - Age: 12 - From USA

I will never forget about Sep. 11. It's so sad. Angels are always looking down at us. There were a lot of Amicans killed in that atack. - Paige - Age: 8 - From USA

Before September 11,2001 I thought our country was just a contry like all the others, but now I know that our contry has the most freedom and liberty then eny other. On September11,2001 I didn't know what was going on at first. All I new was that to airplans have crashed into the Twin Towers. Then i found out that many pepoel have just died and that many childern in the USA wont have thier parents coming home tonight to them.I know that this is a hard time to go threw and we will never forget it,but we can all get though this if we belive! - KRISTEN - Age: 10 - From USA

I think that all of us should be strong and to live the rest of your life, but to never die a painful death, just stand up strong and sulout our soldiers and hope for them to succied. I love America.=-}I-: - Pepperl - Age: 10 - From USA

If we all think negitave about the happy things in the future we will be alright. We need to stick together and be strong!!!!!! - Kayla - Age: 10 - From USA

We should all stick together and we will all be allright. If people just stop having negative thoughts about eachother, then we could all live a happy life kk? buh bye
peepz - Lea-Anne - Age: 13 - From CANADA

I have been though alot and the september 11 attacks didn't help very much but then i decided that i wasn't going to let this bring me down!
We have to be strong and be willing to speak out even if it means writing to the president! He is doing the best that he can and he doing a great job ...I mean it's not easy trying to deal with a subject like this!!!!
No one expected this to happen! But it did and now we have to try to start over even though it's not easy! think about it! It seems like osama binladen has hurt us and he has but he doesn't realize that this has not only hurt us but that it has made us stronger too! - Tasha - Age: 14 - From USA

I feel sorry for the people who got hurt. The other people from the USA are filled with their love.I feel sad for the people, that died.I ahhh, ummm, well all I have to say is GOD BLESS THE USA!!! - Carly - Age: 6 - From USA

I THINK THAT AMERICA IS ABOUT BEING FREE AND HAVEING RIGHTS - Brittany - Age: 13 - From USA

I know that this is a truly unforgetful and serious tragerdy, but if we stick together and cope with what is happening in Afganistan, we can make a difference and help those who are in need. I want to thank you, Goerge W. Bush, for being a wonderful president, and proberbly without the supportive help of you, this country wouldn't be alive and have so much confidence for the children or even people of Afganistan. I just want to say thank you, and hope that the children in Afganistan have the care they need to live peacfully and happily. - Gabi - Age: 11 - From USA

I wish that the attack had never happend and if it did'nt the twin towers would still be standing and the part of the Penntigon that got hit would still be there. Most of all I think Mr.Bush is a great man. - Lauren - Age: 9 - From USA

God bless America!!!I am sorry for the people.Bin Laden should have not blasted the twin towers. AMERICA STAY STRONG!!!I am very sorry about what happened on 9/11. I am so glad they did not blast the white house.God bless the USA!!! - Elaina - Age: 5 - From USA

YOU DONT HAVE TO BE SCARED,GOD IS WITH YOU.AND YES,I DO THINK WHAT WHAT OSAMA BIN LADEN WAS WRONG AND WE WONT LET HIM TEAR US APART EVEN IF HE DID KILL HOUSANDS OF PEOPLE(AND ALMOST MY DAD.LIKE AMERICA ALWAYS SAY "WE STAND UNITED". - Melissa - Age: 10 - From USA

I think what the Bin Laden did was wrong .As much as he tries to break our pride and spirit he will not suceed Because we are the USA.we are strong and united and nothing can break that. - Sabrina - Age: 10 - From USA

i love my country and i love being an american. - Shelly - Age: 7 - From USA

I think us kids should not be afraid. If we go to war will be all right because we trust in each other and the Lord. We need to be strong. - Christa - Age: 11 - From USA

September 11 is something Ill always remember. It made history and thats something you shold always remember!I thinkwe shoul really fight back hard. Even if there is a war. Just think Americans in other ountries it would be like September 11 every day! - Chelsea - Age: 11 - From USA

September 11 was a total fluke and no one could of expected this. People who normally don't do something did it on that day! People did unuasal things that day and that was just to bad. My heart goes out to all those families who have lost someone dear or know someone with terrible injuries. Everyone should just continue to be strong and hopefully God will help everything to be alright. - Britney - Age: 13 - From CANADA

On September 11 what happened was wrong!!! I am From Cananda And I was really upset!!! what I did was I throught that it was all a dream and nothing happend but U can't just let that go. So what u have to do is to remember the fun and happy times not the sad and scary time!! Remembering the sad and scary times will NOT get u through life!!! If u r still upset you should talk to a teacher or someone and talk about it!! I Am REALLY SORRY FOR THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THERE LIFES ON THAT DAY I PRAY TO THEM TO U AND EVERYBODY IN THIS WORLD. AND DON'T WORRY ( OR TRY NOT TO WORRY) IF U THINK FIGHTING WILL GET U THROUGH LIFE YOUR WRONG SO THINK OF ANOTHER WAY!!!!!!!! HOPE U FEEL BETTER!! - Leah - Age: 11 - From CANADA

I think that after the September 11th terroist attack, that all Americans have gotten closer to each other. I am very dramatized from this situation, but I know that we all need to be strong. The attacks showed everyone how mean and jealous people can be. Osama Bin Laden did this to our country thinking "Oh wow, let's go hurt America because their country is better than ours!" I am personally very sorry for all of the victims and their families. What Osama Bin Laden did was a very bad action, that should never ever happen to anyone. - Betsy - Age: 11 - From USA

AFTER SEPTEMBER 11 , ALOT OF AMERICANS HAVE BEEN FRIENDLY TO ONE AND ANOTHER SO ALTHOUGH SEPTEMBER,11 KILLED MANY WE GOT A GOOD SIDE FROM IT. WE GOT A GOOD SIDE THAT BROUGHT ALOT OF PEOPLE TOGETHER. EVERYBODY TRYES TO KEEP IN TOUCH WITH PEOPLE THEY HAVEN'T TALKED TO IN YEARS!!!!! ITS GREAT!! AND MOST PEOPLE THOUGHT GOOD ABOUT OUR PEOPLE AND HOW NICE WE ARE TO EACH OTHER BEFORE , BUT BEFORE NOBODY WAS AS FRIENDLY AS THEY ARE NOW. AND USA LOVES YOU!!! - Madison - Age: 12 - From USA

There should be worldwide peace - Bek - Age: 11 - From UNITED KINGDOM

I think all countries are great and we should all be friends instead of having wars for what we want. - Justine - Age: 11 - From USA

I feel really bad about what happened on September 11,2001 because we had not done anything for Esma Bin Laden to kill 1,000s of people to die and make people so sad. I was at church at the time when the planes hit. I cry and think about if my dad was in the Pentagon that day because he goes there about every 2 weeks. - John - Age: 9 - From USA

I think that we should show our appriciation for the fire fighters that died for us and the people in need of our help so please lets all show our appriciation for the people that died and and the families in need - Julian - Age: 12 - From AUSTRALIA

I think that everyone should know that it was actually Osama Bin Laden that hijacked the planes, not all the people living in Afganistan. Thanks to the US the taliban and Osama Bi Laden have been weakened very much and the people in Afganistan will be free.OOOO CCAANNAADDA!!!! God bless America and the rest of the worrld except for bad guys. - Armin - Age: 12 - From CANADA

I think what happened on 9/11 was very disturbing to all of us. But we still have to be kind to one another ecspecially all the people who live in Afaganistain because they did not make that decision but people think they are bad people. God Bless America! - Kelsi - Age: 11 - From USA

America is a strong and loving place. After the September eleventh attacks, America has a different meaning than what it had before then.America to me now means that people will help others and others will help ourselves. It also means that we can be strong and courteous if everyone can work together and kep us a strong, healthy, nation. That is what America means to me. - Tasha - Age: 11 - From USA

I agree with alot of your apinnions and I think it is not fair to afgan kids that arenīt doing anything and all the people hoo got bombed in the Americans bombing them - Trevor - Age: 9 - From CANADA

THE AMERICAN CULTURE WILL NOT FADE, DIE, WEAKEN, FALTER. THOUSANDS OF HUMANS MAY HAVE DIED, BUT LET'S HOPE THAT DOESN'T PUT AMERICA INTO PERMANENT SORROW. LET THE SORROW BE BRIEF AND SHOW BIN LADEN WHAT WE'RE MADE OF!!!!! THE COLORS RED, WHITE, AND BLUE HAVE NEVER RAN TOGETHER, BUT THEY HAVE UNITED WITH ALL !!!GOD BLESS!!! - Rachel - Age: 12 - From USA

I think that the attacks on America are evil, but we must stand united. These attacks were commited as an act of hatred, but we must rise above that to become stronger. The Taliban and Bin Laden are terrible men. I strongly believe we needs to realize that terrorists have commited this hanious crime, not Arabs. Bin Laden Should realize we are a stronger people.
WHAT AMERICA IS MADE OF... pride unity strength love care courage tough indepence bravery and a whole lot more guts than Usuma Bin Laden.GOD BLESS THE USA!!!!!! - Rachel - Age: 12 - From USA

Now that the world is so full of hatred and fear I would like to tell my American friends to be strong and brave. To believe that terrorism is the work of weak minded persons who don't know what they are doing and who don't understand the value of human life. They would perish. Stand up and believe in yourself... - Anupam - Age: 15 - From INDIA

Well... to be honest, I don't agree with George Bush who wants war. It's always cruel to have war. But both USA and Afganistan can't understand that if every one revenges to the ones who make them bad, the only thing they will make is to destroy everything. - Annita - Age: 13 - From GREECE

I think that I live in a place of freedom. What the presdent is doing is great and i believe that he is doing his best that he can. And I can say that I've helped b-cuz I have donated money in school, spoken my mind and all. - Deanna - Age: 14 - From USA

Hey there! everyone should stay calm. This is a very hard time no matter what the age is. If you have lost a family member i know how you feel. My grandpa was at the pentigon 9-11-01, but he is ok, and my aunt was on one of the planes 9-11-01, she is not ok. I never thought that i woould be living through a terrible tragedy like this. i mean you would never think that somthing like that would happes. You wake up one morning go to school lie its a regular school day and then somthing like this happens. Its a very hard time right now and the US and any other countrys that are not Terrist counterys need to lock arms and stand together as one through this very hard time. - Christa - Age: 12 - From USA

I think that everybody and everyone that lost a loved one should pray overall and have courge and strength to grow on and live your live. But there will always be a part of you that will want to break down and cry.But just remember you'll always love them and that person know's that!PEACE LOVE AMERICA - Tori - Age: 12 - From USA

I never thought about how lucky I am to be living in America with a great president, a strong government, a strong country, the military, and my FREEDOM. I never thought about how lucky I should feel to be able to go to school and get an education, read the books I want and listen to the radio, watch tv, and pray in my own way. Until the day on September 11, 2001, I never realized that my freedom could be in danger of disappearing. Now, I pray that America will stand strong, and all we have to do now, is start over. - Gracie - Age: 10 - From USA

Many people have been touched by this tragety and we all need to stand together and be as strong and brave as we can be. WE DESIRVE TO BE FREE TO DO WHATEVER WE WANT! - Lauren - Age: 14 - From USA

Everybody in America feels terrified of what happened on September 11, but we should not let our fear conquer us. We will become one crowd, we will become one family, we will unite and form one unit, and stand together to fight for our country, God bless the USA! No matter what, we will help ourselves to stand against, knowing that we in unity believe in God above us.
All for one, and one for all! - Kelly - Age: 13 - From USA

i think that the bombing in america should not have happened. i think that it is shocking lots of people have lost there lifes. why cant people live in peace. - Bad - Age: 10 - From UNITED KINGDOM

i think that the war isn't a good thing. That god put us on this earth so that we could help one anothe, but instead of helping one another we are fighting against each other.I don't think that what Afganistan did was righ and that they should say that they are sorry, but when we go over to afganistan to fight we aren't following what the bible told us to" Treat others as you would wan't to be treated.i will not say that we're doing the right thing, but I won't say we're doing the wrong thing

thank you

America is a great country.Snd me mail in shaktithapa@hotmail.com.2 have friendship - Shakti - Age: 14 - From INDIA

I say that America nad the nation should pull together to survive and if i could talk to Benladen I would tell him no matter what he has aginst our government he didn't just attack them he attack all of us who care about the people over the seas ans so forth. Also that he has said we (americans) have distroyed there lives and country but what about our lives and country some of us lost loved ones and as people have told me 2 wrongs don't make it right or in simpler terms revenge is just a silly way of giving in, it's like kids fighting over the front seat of a car or somthing childish. That is what i say Benladen is doing and that is what i would tell him. I'm glade that if this was to happen that we have a great president like Bush to handel it. - Katie - Age: 13 - From USA

America your love flys like a dove. Black, white, latinos, asians, we all stand strong, and when were done we are still standing strong. But America from the bottom of my heart whatever you do, you'll always be my red, white, and blue. - Kay - Age: 11 - From USA

Look at that day when the Twin Towers Collapsed. It was a day if terror. Families loved ones lives were lost and the children in Afghanastan with barley any food. What caused this to happen, had we did something wrong to deserve this. As families today are still weeping over the loved ines they lost. There are families with their 18 year old boys over there fighting in that war. Why should all of this even happen. It is all Bin Ladens Fault this happened and this will never be forgotten. I would like to say God Bless America. - Elizabeth - Age: 15 - From USA

I think America has taken the terrible act of terrorism very well.
Mr.Bush has kept a level-head about the whole situation. He the gave the taliban lots of time instead of running over to Afgan.and creating
a huge bloodbath(thank god).I also think our support for America has been great.A funny thing is that Afgan.are willing to basiclly take on the wolrd, but even if Afgan.and America were fight alone,America would still have the power to win.

Best of wishes to America and especially familys
how had a friend or manly a family member inside

AMERICA YOU ARE VERY BRAVE AND STRONG NO ONE COULD EVER BREAK THAT GREAT SPIRIT DOWN - Ashleigh - Age: 10 - From NEW ZEALAND

America will always stand strong. I think we all need to show support in the USA. Its terrible that something this affective needed to be done to make us all think. We all need to show our patriotism and be a good american. Whether it is donating blood, or money, or just volunteering to help. Everything is appreciated. We will all set an example and stand strong through this time. God Bless America! - Ashley - Age: 14 - From USA

I think America is standing strong. The people who did this to us thought that it would bring America apart, but it only brought us closer. What ever is next America needs to stand together, united as one and defend our wonderful country! God Bless America and the people of the United States. - Robin - Age: 11 - From USA

I think what America is doing to Bin ladden is good because bin ladden killed 6000 people and caused chaos all over America. - Jeffrey - Age: 12 - From AUSTRALIA

I think that no matter what happens, Americans sould think positive and be happy because even though Binladen tore through the twin towers, he can never rip throug the heart of a young kid. - Carly - Age: 10 - From AUSTRALIA

I THINK EVERYONE IS DOING A GOOD JOB OF STICKING TOGETHER.WITH ALL OUR FLAGS,SIGNS ETC.,BIN LADAN WILL SEE THAT WE CAN'T BRAKE APART !!!!!!!!GOD BLESS AMERICA ! - LINDSEY - Age: 11 - From USA

BE STRONG AMERICA!! GOD BLESS AMERICA!! - Chris - Age: 10 - From USA

This is a tough time and we must pray to God to help us through this war. God can do anything and we have to know that He is even more sad than we are because of the tragedy. He loves us all and he wants us to help. We have to stick together and love one another. We have to help in every way we can, because this is a hard time for all of us and we won't win this war if we don't try. - Jim - Age: 12 - From USA

I live in Canada and sometimes when i go to USA I think it's a very nice place cuz people help each other everyday. I see at least 3 people help out - Sophie - Age: 10 - From CANADA

I think that we need to get along and not fight because it can hurt other peoples or yours felings. Like one day after p.e. we where geting dressed and someone called me fat then hit my friend and my fellings where hurt and the only thing I want is for people to get along - Michael - Age: 10 - From USA

I think Americans (well becuse i live here but people everywhere) are so kind. In some places people hurt people every day. but I see people helping each other every day. People help make dinners and stuff for old people and all kinds of nice stuff. - Debbie - Age: 14 - From USA

I have a story of kindness. My friend was getting picked on at school because she wears clothes that look different. So, my other friends and I put on a play about funny looking aliens to show how everyone can be different. but we love everyone! - Jessie - Age: 14 - From USA

We can be strong if we stik 2gether. - Sarah - Age: 10 - From Canada

Hey everyone...I was listening to my mom and dad they are right! We need to what we have to do to stop the bad people, but at the same time!!! Not become bad people ourselves.

America is about being free and fair so don't be mean to other people. be nice and help. - Jon - Age: 11 - From USA
