Every issue we'll sit down with someone and ask five questions. Idea Seekers, Plant Babies, KidsCom Staff Members… and maybe even a surprise guest or two!
Meet Princess Kimma
1. We at the Sarillion Monitor can't help but notice your blue skin. You're the only person we've ever met who has blue skin. What's up with that?
Everyone on my home planet has blue skin, silly! If you've never been to Sarillion, you're really missing out. It's the most pleasant planet in the Universe. It's like a beautiful park rolled together with a spa – people from all over the Universe vacation there.
To people on Earth, though, we'd be aliens – people on my planet are known as the Pleethar, and we've lived on Sarillion for hundreds of years. I live in the Royal Palace with my parents… at least, I did until recently.
2. Until recently? What happened?
Well, my parents are the King and Queen of Sarillion, which means that they're a very big target for the Darkness. I was separated from them when the Darkness attacked Sarillion, and took the whole planet hostage! I had just met the Idea Seekers, and they helped me find out that my parents are safe, even if they're in the clutches of the Darkness. I had to travel to the middle of an Earth jungle and defeat Angry Cloud to get a message from them, but it was worth it. It was quite an adventure!
The Idea Seekers are going to help me chase the Darkness from my planet, but until then I'm living with them and training to become an Idea Seeker Reminder.
3. Why did you decide to become an Idea Seeker Reminder?
Being a Reminder is a lot like being a Princess, and I'm already working on that! Anyone who wants to become a Reminder must be sensitive to others, full of hope, and know how to use their inner eye to see what is really real, not just what seems to be. While other Idea Seekers are fighting the Clouds of Chaos, someone needs to work to help and heal the people who are recovering from Cloud Sickness. The best ticket to a happy life is to help make others happy!
4. What's your favorite thing to do? Is there something you like the most? Do you have any hobbies?
I looooooooove cooking! Whenever I have a break from my Idea Seeker training, I head for the kitchen. The head chef at the palace says he's never met anyone who cooks the way that I do. It's funny, though – he never seems to try anything I've cooked.
I also love to go shopping, as long as I don't get too greedy and start buying everything in sight. I like to drag Tra along, I'm always trying to get her interested in picking out fashionable clothing. Otherwise, I enjoy helping and playing with animals, checking out new fashion styles, and helping people recover from Cloud Sickness.
Is there anything that you don't you like to do?
I miss my parents. I enjoy being here with the Idea Seekers, but I feel homesick a lot. But the other Idea Seekers have been very kind and helpful. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to go to school so much. Between training to be an Idea Seeker and being a Princess, I don't have a lot of free time! I wish I had more time to just hang around with my friends.
5. What advice can you give to people who want to become Idea Seekers, or have already started their Idea Seeker training?
The best advice I have is something that I say all the time – "Look again, look beyond, look with vision!" That means that whenever you run into someone or something that's bothering you, try to find the good in the situation, or try to make the best of it. It also means that you should try to see beyond what's happening and look for the things inside people that are honest and true. Look for the good in people, and it will bring out the best in you!
