Animal Adventure Comment of the Week

Lindsey Turlan - Age 11 - From UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (USA)

I think we should develop zoning laws so we can let the animals keep their homes. They were here first. It's there home. They will die without its protection. We decide if they live in peace, or die in our selfishness and greed.

Team Animal Fact of the Week

Elijah Lung - Age 9 - From UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (USA)

Penguins (order Sphenisciformes, family Spheniscidae) are a group of aquatic, flightless birds living almost exclusively in the southern hemisphere, especially in Antarctica. Highly adapted for life in the water, penguins have countershaded dark and white plumage, and their wings have become flippers. Most penguins feed on krill, fish, squid, and other forms of sealife caught while swimming underwater. They spend about half of their life on land and half in the oceans.

Lisle Zest - 8 - FINLAND

The story continues from this beginning:

Spec and Kimma are hanging out at the Royal Palace trying to install a stackable washer and dryer set that uses less water. Spec is struggling with the connectors, though. A Palace errand boy comes by and makes the washer and dryer work, making Kimma very happy! "Oh, thank you so much! You're so helpful!" she says. Suddenly Spec doesn't like this errand boy so much. Spec looks around and sees a green mist around his head. Jealousy Cloud is trying to make him jealous! What should he do? Would a Confidence Plant Baby help him? Write the rest of the story.

"What's that Mist over his Head?" Spec whispered to Kimma, looking very scared.
"Don't be silly and scared, Spec" Kimma said trying to calm him with a smile and quiet talking. "No, Kimma! He has Jealousy Cloud Sickness!" Spec cries in Alarm. "Oh, No! This is my Fault!" Kimma said,
Starting to cry before Spec's eyes. "It's OK. Calm down
Kimma" Spec Says, trying to calm her. "I have a Plant baby
Right he-" Spec stopped. Looking beside him. "My Hope Plant
baby is gone!" he said in his usual Alarm voice. Then Spec's Hope Plant baby came beside him, and Spec began to feel Hopeful. Spec looked eyes wide open besides him,- there as his Hope Plant baby. "Hope!" Spec Cried, putting his arms around the Hope Plant baby. "Spec!" Cried Hope with her Silvery voice. "Cure Kimma, and quick!" Spec said in Alarm, seeing Kimma breaking the Machine. Kimma was cured! "Thank you Spec!" Kimma said, Kissing him. Spec went red all over. They both had a great time, and the Hope Plant baby stayed as their guide!
The End! Write Me A Story

One day, we were on our way to Florida for a vacation. I brought my favorite book, "Harry Potter". About half way, we stopped to get a drink. So I went in to buy a couple bottles of water. When I came back I found that nobody was in the car and my book was wide open on the front seat. I ran back inside the store to find myself face to face with Harry Potter!

He said, "Are you the one that lost your parents?"

I said, "Yes."

Then with a snap of his hand I was in Wizard World standing by my family. We all had wands in our hands, plus we had robes on and we were in the middle of a Quidditch match!

After the match, Harry Potter came over to us and said, "I brought you guys here because I heard you're awesome Quidditch players. I need you to help me in the next Quidditch match."

I caught the snitch almost right away, so of course we won the game. After that, Harry Potter sent us back to our car. What a way to start a family vacation!
