Giving out your password for ANY reason is against the site rules-so is asking for anyone's password. NEVER give your password to anyone for any reason. Anyone caught by the Guardians asking for passwords or giving them out will be banned.

The only way someone can steal your account is if you give them your password, or if they are able to guess it. NEVER give your password out to ANYONE-not even your best friends! And pick a password that is very difficult to guess. (Combinations of letters and numbers are a great example.)

On KidsCom.com, you can talk to kids from all over the world by clicking on the Idea Seeker Universe Map and choosing a location. Jardim Forest is a great place to start. Type what you want to say in the long, white bar near the bottom of the screen.

When you chat by typing, you can only use words that are in our Keep it Safe, Keep it Clean™ dictionary. If you type a word that is not in the dictionary, it will turn red and you need to change it before you can send your chat message.

If you have a word you think we should add to the Keep it Safe, Keep it Clean™ dictionary, send it in using the suggestion (book icon) on the bottom of the circle of the buttons in the Idea Seeker Universe.

Only a few numbers are in the Keep it Safe, Keep it Clean™ dictionary. This is to help keep kids safe by not letting you give out phone numbers or addresses.

There are generally two reasons why you might get kicked off of the Chat:

1. Breaking The Chat Rules
   If you were kicked out for breaking a rule, normally, you will be told when you will be allowed back. Check out the Chat Rules and be sure to follow them when you come back.
2. You didn't post anything for a long time
   In order to be fair to everyone, if you don't post a message or any other activity for a really long time, you will get logged out so someone else has a chance to enter the chat. Don't worry, you can come right back in.

Don't worry, you can come back to the Idea Seeker Universe Chat. Normally, when you are kicked out for breaking a rule, you will be told when you will be allowed back. If anyone continues to break the rules, we can ban you from the chat longer and will contact your parents and Internet Service Provider.

Monitors are responsible adults and parents who are specially trained members of the KidsCom.com Staff. They are called Guardians in the Idea Seeker Universe.

They watch the Chat to make sure everyone has fun and stays safe while chatting.

Only adults can be Guardians/chat monitors. If you are an adult and are interested in applying for a Guardian position, check this page for openings.

KidsCom.com has two separate servers with different levels of chat:

• The green server (Greenhouse Effect) has both phrase chat and free typing chat using our Keep it Safe, Keep it Clean™ dictionary.
• The blue server (Tree Ring) is an ultra-safe chat server that only uses phrase chat-chat with the use of preset phrases.

Click the lightning bolt button in your button wheel to change servers.

Lots of things! You can find games in the Restaurant, Training Tower, and elsewhere. You can take part in activities like riding the zipline in Jardim Forest, or picking up recyclable trash in Jardim Forest or the Maze. And you can use the "Choose Your Move" button to perform fun and crazy moves!

Click on the "Choose Your Move" button in the button wheel in the lower right hand corner of your screen to see how many different moves you can do. Allies can wave and do the Snap Dance (but you need to make a SnapTastic™ Food in order to dance... see the section on Gardens for more), while Idea Seekers can also jump and do flips.

Click on the blue "Character Dress-Up" button at the top of the screen to get to the Idea Seeker Dress-Up Game.

Allies and Idea Seekers both start with 5 free outfits that they can mix and match in all sorts of fun combinations. From there, Allies can buy clothes that are on sale for KidsKash and a few items for Virtual Points, and Idea Seekers can buy clothes that are on sale for both KidsKash and lots of items for Virtual Points. Check out the different clothing stores on the shopping page to see what you can buy!

Click on the box to the left of the arrows you use to choose the clothes. This will open a selector with a rainbow of colors to choose from. Move the + sign around in the box to the color you want and click. The box will close and the color will appear on your clothes. You can change the shade of the color by clicking on the box again and using the shade-slider on the right side to choose darker or lighter colors.

This happens when the shade-slider is set to either the top (white) or bottom (black). To change the color, click the color chooser box and then click somewhere in the middle on the shade-slider on the right side of the box.

Plant Babies are virtual pets that help you fight the Darkness of Dumbness and his Clouds of Chaos by reminding you to be Persistent, Patient, Confident, and more.

You pick your first Plant Baby when you register to become an Ally. Plant Babies start off as seeds-click on Plant Baby Central and click on an item from your inventory on the right side of the page to sprout and then feed your Plant Baby.

Yes! There are two ways you can get more Plant Babies:

• Buy another one by checking out the Plant Baby Guidebook
• Get a Plant Baby from a friend (click here to see how to send a Plant Baby to a friend)

Joy, Balance, and Gratitude Plant Babies can only be bought by Idea Seekers. Anyone can own the other Plant Babies: Persistence, Patience, Humor, Confidence, and Hope.

If you keep your Plant Baby powered up (fed), you can:

• Walk with them in the Idea Seeker Universe (click the PB button on the button wheel to the lower right of your screen)
• Avoid being clouded by a Cloud Attack in the Idea Seeker Universe if you are walking with your Plant Baby
• Use your Plant Babies to play certain games, like Cloud Fighting and Cloud Dodge Training Mission
• Make your Plant Babies dance by clicking the "Wave" action on the button wheel (Idea Seekers Only)

Everyone gets a House for free when they register to become an Ally. Simply click on "My House" (the orange button at the top of your screen) to set it up.

Allies get a one-room Plant Baby Playhouse to decorate. Idea Seekers get a three-room House that they can expand to seven by buying additional rooms.

Decorate your House with furniture from the different furniture stores on KidsCom.com. Kids use the furniture to do all sorts of things with their Houses, like turn them into hotels, restaurants, movie theaters, and more! And of course, everyone likes to have their friends over and throw a party in their House.

When you are in the Idea Seeker Universe, you can get to your House to walk around two ways:

1. Click on yourself and then click on the little House button under your picture. (This is also how others can visit your House)
2. Click on the blue "My House" button on the bottom right corner of the page.

When you are decorating your House (click "My House" at the top of your screen to decorate it), click the dollar sign button in the button wheel to buy another room for your House. (Note: Only Idea Seekers can buy additional rooms.)

Teams are a fun, quick way to make Friends and compete for Virtual Points while playing fun games. If you want to find out more about Teams and how they work, check out this FAQ we've set up specifically for Teams.

In the Idea Seekers Garden you can plant, grow, and harvest your own produce. Allies and Idea Seekers all have an Idea Seekers Garden.

Just click on the "My Garden" button in the navigation bar at the top of your screen to get started. A video will walk you through an overview and your Garden will show you how to harvest your first sweet potato plant.

Lots of stuff!

• Save it to feed to your Plant Baby
• Sell it in the Farmer's Market in the Village and earn Virtual Points
• Cook with it in your SnapTastic™ Kitchen and make SnapTastic™ Food

Allies and Idea Seekers can use the food they grow in their Idea Seekers Gardens to make SnapTastic™ Foods, which are patterned after delicious, nutritious real world recipes. You can place SnapTastic™ Foods in your Idea Seeker House and click on them to make your character dance!

• Go to your SnapTastic™ Kitchen (you can get there from either your Garden or House).
• Check the recipe book to see what you can make with the items you've grown.
• Place three items on the table top and click the bowl.
• If you picked three items that make up a recipe in the recipe book, you'll have a SnapTastic™ Food! If not, you'll make a flop.
• From there, click "Serve It" to place it in your House, "Make More" to make another SnapTastic™ Food, or "Grow More Plants" to go back to your Garden.

• Place the food in your House when decorating.
• Go into the Idea Seeker Universe.
• Click on the "My House" button on the bottom right corner of the page to visit your House.
• When you are walking in your House, click on the food and you'll dance!
• You can keep dancing anywhere in the Idea Seeker Universe after you've clicked on the food by clicking the "Choose Your Move" button in the button wheel, then selecting "Snap Dance." You can dance until you log off the site.

Allies and Idea Seekers give each other gifts for lots of reasons:

• To motivate Team members to score Training Mission points
• As birthday presents
• Or just to do something nice for their friends!

There are three ways to give gifts:

• Click "Give a Gift" on your Home Page
• Click on someone while they are walking in the Idea Seeker Universe, then click the purple bow button on their character card.
• If you are a team leader, you can click on the purple bow button under a teammate's name.

It depends on whether you and your friend are Allies or Idea Seekers.

• Allies can only give people four free items that are provided by KidsCom.com. These items change on a weekly basis.
• Idea Seekers can give Allies one of the four free items, or any Plant Baby Hunger fighting item or Cloud fighting item in their inventory.
• Idea Seekers can give other Idea Seekers anything in their inventory-furniture, garden items, or clothes!

No, items you buy with KidsKash are yours alone and can't be given away.

Idea Seekers and Allies can use KidsKash to buy special clothes for their character, furniture, and decorations for their House and Garden that are not available for purchase with Virtual Points. KidsKash can also be converted to Virtual Points.

Yes! KidsCom.com offers the KidsKash Design Challenge, where kids can design their own clothes, furniture, or decorations for sale in the KidsKash stores. If KidsCom accepts your design, you will earn a commission of 2 to 9 KidsKash per item sold! Click here for more information.

Here are a couple of tips:

5. Try using a different kind of browser. If you're using Internet Explorer, try using Firefox. You can get these for free at the Microsoft or Firefox Web site. Be sure to have an adult help with downloading these browsers.

KidsCom.com uses the Macromedia Flash Player and the Shockwave Player "plug-ins." These plug-ins are needed to play many of our interactive games and activities.

Here's how to get the Macromedia Flash and Shockwave players. (Remember! Always check with your parents before visiting other sites and don't give out any personal information without their permission.)

Write Me a Story is the place where you can try your writing skills, share your imagination, read fun stories and maybe even get published on the Internet!

Each week we'll challenge you to write a story using the character, place and prop we give you. Your story can be as funny, sad or silly as you want, but nothing your parents would get mad about. (Speaking of parents, you should get their OK before sending your story to us because many people around the world might be reading your work.)

Each week we select five stories by kids 11 and younger and five by kids 12 and older to put in the Ballot Box. That's where all kids can vote for their favorite story of the week. The two stories with the most votes in each age group will be showcased in Stunningly Stupendous Stories the next week!

Don't forget: for safety's sake leave out personal information like your last name, phone number, e-mail or home address in your story.

Are you ready? There are two places you can write stories - Write Me a Story and Plant Baby Write me a Story. (Plant Baby WMAS uses story beginnings based on Plant Babies instead of the character, place and prop.)

Who picks the stories?
The KidsCom.com Staff selects the stories which are placed in the Ballot Box. Kids vote for the ones to be placed in "Last Week's Stories."

How can I get my story in "Last Week's Stories?"
First it needs to be selected by the KidsCom.com Staff for placement in the Ballot Box area. Then your story would need to be the story from one of the two age groups that receives the most votes. Then it would be showcased on the "Last Week's Stories" page.

When does the character, place and prop change?
The character, place and prop change every Wednesday. (We do our best to stay on schedule.)

Can I enter more than one story each week?
Yes, you can enter as many stories as you want each week.

Idea Seekers Move & Match is a fun and challenging hand-eye-coordination game that you play with a webcam! You use your hands to grab two matching food items, then file them away in the bin labeled with the items' food group.

We're sorry, but you need to own a webcam in order to play Move & Match.
