Q: I can't log in! A: When you fill in your username and password, remember, you must put them in exactly the same way you did when you first registered.
Q: How do I change my password? A: Change your password by following the instructions on this page. Q: Help! I forgot my password. A: Unfortunately, if you've forgotten your Ally (free member) username or password, there is no way to retrieve it. We do not store any private information about our users. We recommend you create a new avatar and write your username and password down on a piece of paper and keep it in a safe place!
Q: My BFF asked me for my password. Should I give it to her? A: Giving out your password for ANY reason is against the site rules-so is asking for anyone's password. NEVER give your password to anyone for any reason. Anyone caught by the Guardians asking for passwords or giving them out will be banned. Q: Help! I was hacked! Someone stole my account! How did this happen? A: The only way someone can steal your account is if you give them your password, or if they are able to guess it. NEVER give your password out to ANYONE-not even your best friends! And pick a password that is very difficult to guess. (Combinations of letters and numbers are a great example.) Q: Someone stole my account and changed my password! How can I get it back? A: Unfortunately, if you are an Ally (free member), there is no way to reset it. It's required as part of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Go to the Idea Seeker Universe. Q: How do I chat? A: On KidsCom.com, you can talk to kids from all over the world by clicking on the Idea Seeker Universe Map and choosing a location. Jardim Forest is a great place to start. Type what you want to say in the long, white bar near the bottom of the screen. Q: Why does my word turn red sometimes? A: When you chat by typing, you can only use words that are in our Keep it Safe, Keep it Clean™ dictionary. Q: I got kicked out for breaking a rule. Does that mean I can never come back? A: Don't worry, you can come back to the Idea Seeker Universe Chat.
